Lil' Dragons
Our Lil’ Dragons class consists of four and five year olds only. The curriculum is especially designed for this age group. Our school provides a safe and fun environment for children to burn off energy, interact with their peers, and learn a few essential lessons. Our Lil’ Dragons learn discipline, respect, balance, coordination, and other physical abilities through basic martial arts fundamentals. By concentrating on what our Lil Dragons can do and helping them work through what they aren’t currently able to do, we guide them in building their self-confidence and their skills.
Beginner-Youth
Our Beginner Youth program is split among two ages groups: Ages 6-10 & Ages 11-15. Essentially both age groups learn the same curriculum, but at a much different pace. We focus on fitness, discipline, and self-defense. Each age group also learns both basic self-defense technqiues and basic Arnis techniques. Through partner exercises we help our students develop necessary social skills. By challenging each student, we allow them to build the self-confidence to realize what they can do and to triumph over the tasks they aren't currently able to do.
Intermediate- Youth
Our Intermediate class in addition to rehearsing the previous Beginner Curriculum, focuses on their physical condition and their self-defense technqiues. "Proper Form", "A Strong Mindset", and "Great Discipline" are essential to be a part of and succeed in this class. Our Intermediate is very fast-paced and a good grasp on the basics is a necessity for all students in this class.
Advanced youth (3years+)
Our advanced class is more focused on hand-to-hand combat rather than the traditional style of martial arts that is taught in the other classes. By this time the students have a solid martial arts foundation and can be trusted with this type of knowledge. Hapkido and Arnis is the primary styles of martial arts focused on in this class. Together with the beginner and intermediate class curriculum we will produce a very well rounded martial artist ready to take on any challenge that life has to offer.
Youth Muay Thai
Muay Thai is a fighting art originated in Thailand know as "The Art of the Eight Limbs", as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art. A practitioner of Muay Thai ("nak muay") thus has the ability to execute strikes using eight "points of contact," as opposed to "two points" (fists) in Western boxing and "four points" (fists, feet) used in the primarily sport-oriented forms of martial arts. Muay Thai is considered the most effective of the striking arts. Studied by most UFC and WEC superstars Chuck (The Ice Man)Lidell, Anderson (The spider) Silva, BJ Penn, George Saint Pierre(GSP), Forest Griffin, Urijah Fabre and Jens Pulver just to name a few.
Adults- 16 & Up: Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
Our adult class is more focused on hand-to-hand combat rather than a traditional style of martial arts. We use stand-up techniques from Boxing, Kempo, and Filipino striking techniques as well as ground-fighting styles such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which creates a well-rounded curriculum for those interested in MMA. In order to advance, our adults must not only learn all hand-to-hand techniques necessary for their level but all Pin~on requirements for their level as well. Therefore, they receive the indepth knowledge of self-defense and experience the more artistic side of martial arts as well.
